Nurse Practitioner

We are pleased to welcome Irena Kostic to the Trillium Health Partners in the role of Nurse Practitioner.

Irena brings extensive advanced practice nursing experience in cardiac care, with a strong clinical background in electrophysiology, critical care, and inpatient cardiology. She holds a Master of Nursing, Nurse Practitioner (Adult Specialty) from the University of Toronto, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Western Ontario.

Since April 2017, she has provided expert care to both inpatient and outpatient electrophysiology populations in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. Her experience includes EP consults, comprehensive pre- and post-procedure management for a broad range of EP procedures, including electrophysiology studies, simple and complex catheter ablations, cardioversions, and cardiac implantable electronic device procedures such as pacemakers, ICDs, and CRTs.

In addition to her clinical expertise, Irena has contributed significantly to patient education and practice improvement through the development of education materials on arrhythmias and electrophysiology procedures, as well as standardized nursing protocols for post-procedural EP patient management in both Cath Lab and inpatient settings. Her work reflects a strong commitment to quality, safety, and patient-centred care.
